"Intorno era quasi tutto buio, mentre alcune persone venivano illuminate dal sole, creando un contrasto molto forte. Mi piaceva la naturalezza del momento: ognuno era assorto per conto proprio, senza accorgersi della fotografia. Ho cercato di mantenere quella spontaneità e di usare le ombre per togliere importanza a ciò che stava intorno e concentrare lo sguardo sulle persone e sui loro gesti. È uno di quei momenti quotidiani che normalmente passerebbero inosservati, ma che per pochi secondi la luce ha trasformato in qualcosa che valeva la pena ricordare."
